"Comfortable, homely accommodation, set in a historic barn conversion made a lovely peaceful base from which to explore the beautiful Lake District. The cottage was equipped with everything we would need and was always lovely and warm. We found Greg, the owner, to be very friendly, and knowledgeable about local attractions and the vast number of walks from the doorstep and the wider area. The village itself is surrounded by beautiful scenery with 2 good pubs on your doorstep and several others within a short drive. A visit to the 500 year old Watermill just over the bridge is essential."
