A very special place. This was a vacation we thoroughly enjoyed.
The cottages are charming and delightfully situated at the end of a quiet private lane. Tasteful furnishings and modern amenities in the cottages provide every comfort, while features such as cross-timbers and partly exposed granite in the walls convey authenticity. There is a walled garden as well as a lovely riverside garden for guests to relax in or for BBQs. The village of Boot and the entire valley around the river Esk is very picturesque. Hikes and walks with marvelous fell and valley views can be taken right from the doorstep. This is a great location for getting away from it all and unwinding in beautiful green surroundings.
