"A wonderful introduction to the Lake District – this was our first trip to the Lake District and I'm delighted that I stumbled on these cottages. They are brilliantly situated in a lovely quiet village in the western lakes district. I didn't appreciate how lovely and quiet everything was until we drove around to some of the other towns and lakes and then I realized what a gem we had found. Greg, the owner was incredibly helpful with great tips on walks and hikes in the valley.
The cottage itself was very cosy and because we had such beautiful weather we would often spend the late afternoon laying out in the garden or riverside picnic area that is part of the property. It was a wonderful trip and was the perfect antidote to a hectic season in London."
