Great for the outdoors! For the walker, runner or cyclist the location is perfect.

My first experience of cycling in the Lake District was the Fred Whitton Challenge 110 mile charity event, which introduced me to the roads the local area has to offer. The cottage is about 2 miles from the epic Hardknott and Wrynose Passes; must-haves on the list of any cycling enthusiast's list of climbs!

The fells surrounding Boot have plenty of beautiful walks and runs, with the magnificent Wastwater nearby – only a short run over the fell! Be sure to check out the amazing tarns and waterfalls which seem to spring up out of nowhere!

After an action packed day the cottage was very welcoming, warming and relaxing – just what you need to recover!

Excellent & Restorative Stay

I think this is our 7th trip up to Boot and Bridge End. That should tell you something. Nothing to complain about, everything to praise. Location, property, customer service and the pubs so conveniently positioned. Yes we will be back!
